A solution to a complex car parking problem, stemming from a multitude of users and confined site parameters.
The six level car park provides an additional 200 car parks on-site. The design incorporates a continuous ramp structure minimising dead circulation space.
In order to provide maximum site coverage a fire engineered alternative solution was designed to provide boundary fire protection, consisting of stainless steel mesh and wall wetting sprinklers. This solution allows natural light and ventilation to penetrate the space and alleviates the requirement for mechanical ventilation.
A high efficiency post tensioned concrete slab was designed for cost efficiency. This provides high spanning, slender slabs and beams, reducing floor to floor heights and reducing the amount of concrete required.
